Over the past few weeks, the Orthodox Union (OU) has issued several alerts to consumers regarding krill (crustacean) and worm infestation of sardines. The following links provide information regarding the nature of the problem and the specific brands that are affected:

Gefen and Brunswick brands are affected by these alerts and should not be used. These companies are offering refunds to kosher consumers that have purchased affected products.
Sardines from Morocco and all skinless and boneless sardines are recommended for use at this time.
