The Guelph Food Technology Centre (GFTC) is pleased to announce their first “Innovation Breakfast” for 2012, on Wednesday January 25th and the Person Convention Centre in Brampton, Ontario. The subject will be three emerging trends in the “better for you food sector”: kosher, vegetarian and clean labels.
The Kosher food sector is growing rapidly – it has experienced exponential growth in recent years and is valued at over $200 billion in North America. Food products that are kosher certified are sought after by a broad range of consumers – from vegetarians and vegans to Jewish and Muslims, or just those who are searching for different food choices.
GFTC is honored to have its exclusive kosher partner, COR-Kashruth Council of Canada as a featured speaker at its event. COR’s Director of Marketing and Business Development Richard Rabkin will discuss the kosher market with Canadian food manufacturers and the potential opportunities.
Those interested in enrolling for this seminar can call Denise Horseman at 519-821-1246 ext. 5068 or email: dhorseman@gftc.ca for more information.
