Corn on the Cob – Small thrips (white/yellowish) and aphids can sometimes be found on the husk and can infest the kernels and hide underneath. The following procedure should be followed:

2) Rinse cob well under a strong stream of water |

3) Boil Corn |
3) Boil a sample of 3 cobs |
4) Pour the water into a glass bowl and check on a light box |

If any infestation is found in the water, the corn should not be used.
