Madi Warnock, founder of Galt Bakery, opened up her first business, Galt Juice Co., a fully organic cold press juice company in 2014. Since then, she has also opened up two affiliated cafés. Through her interactions with clients at the cafés, she noticed how many of them had food allergies, especially towards dairy and gluten. This prompted her to open up Galt Bakery, a gluten free facility located in Cambridge, Ontario where they produce gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free, and peanut-free cookies by hand. All of the cookies are made with non-GMO ingredients and are free of additives and preservatives.
After entering into the gluten-free baked goods category, Madi states, “we were shocked to see how little choice there was for those looking for gluten-free products that were kosher. We reached out to COR and the process to become COR certified was straight forward. The team at COR helped us input all of our ingredients and the site visit was done in a very timely fashion. We are very proud to have the COR symbol on our entire line of gluten-free cookies”. They have received a lot of positive feedback from their customers and have used their input to tweak the recipes over the years to suit the needs of their clients—not only for allergies, but to create a recipe that everyone in the family can enjoy!
