Welcome to the first bits of Yoshon information for Canada for 2026.
This list is not complete, however, due to the time sensitive nature of some of the changeover dates detailed below, it is being issued now.
Please note: Anticipated changeover dates are at the factory level. There is a time delay until it reaches the retail market. However, in the current market, products may reach the retail market as early as 2 -3 weeks after being manufactured.
Robin Hood, Five Roses & any co-packed flour using the following plant codes

1These numbers or lower are yoshon. Isolate the plant code from the full code that is printed on the bag and then find the year and date codes.
Flour – (COR 285) – White Flour – anticipated c/o, BB Sept 22, 2027. Organic anticipated c/o is the end of Oct. Whole Wheat- BB dates are 3 months earlier.
Great Plains, P&H, Compliments (Metro) and any flour with a “PH” in the code – The lot # will start with a 6 (for 2026) then xxx for the date and then xx for the plant i.e. 6 269 02. Use code 6 253 for plant 09. Plant 02 is still yoshon. Anticipated c/o 06 271 02. At times, the “0” before the plant code may be missing, i.e. 6 236 07 = 6 236 7.
Ardent Mills, Robin Hood, Bakers Hood, Master Hand, Golden Temple or any flour with a COR323 – for plant ‘SK’- a date code of 6-251 (BB Sept 8, 2027) or lower. For plant code ‘MT’ a date code of 6-256 (BB Sept 13, 2027) or lower.
Durum semolina and Atta flour anticipated c/o mid Oct.
No Name Flour – If the best before date includes “PFM” use the same code as COR 285 flour. If it includes “PH” use the codes noted above for “P&H”. Whole Wheat flour – Best Before dates are 3 months earlier.
Rodelle Flour (20kg bags) – is still yoshon, anticipated c/o end of Nov – must have a “P” or “Y93” in the code.
Robin Hood – Ardent Mills Oats – still yoshon, anticipated c/o beginning of Oct.
Quaker Oats (COR 112) – For any product that contains oats – Anticipated c/o end of Sept (09 26 P6).
No Name Oats – Large Flake, One Minute, Quick – Conventional – anticipated c/o mid Oct. Organic – Best Before 2027 Sept 15. (these dates does not apply to single serve packets).
Pasta – Italpasta, Grisspasta, PC/No Name & Catelli – anticipated c/o is beginning of Octtober.
Primo & Unico – anticipated c/o is beginning of November.
Barley – PC Blue Menu Barley, Great Value Barley, NuPak and Clic – product in the store is still yoshon.
Post Cereals – Shredded Wheat, Spoon Size Shredded Wheat – all types, Light Wheat Squares, Shreddies – all types, Dark Wheat Squares, Raisin Bran & 100% Bran are still yoshon until the end of the year.
Kellogg Canada – All Bran, Raisin Bran, Bran Flakes, Corn Flakes, Honeynut Corn Flakes, Frosted Flakes, Rice Krispies and Corn Pops – yoshon until the end of the year.
Lenchner’s – will remain yoshon.
Pita Bros. – will remain yoshon.
